Hey Pat,

I just wanted to say thanks for this website. I wrote the LEED Canada NC exam this afternoon and scored a 192. What a feeling of accomplishment.
To all who have not written your LEED exam, the blank study guide, I believe was the key to passing the exam as you need to know “Everything”. Also follow “5 Days Left Until LEED Test – Plan of Attack” it gets you focused on getting the studying done.
Thank you to the individuals who participate in posting advice on your web page.

Yes, there may be. More likely, you’ll get questions along the lines of “if you document x% of renewable energy use, how many points are you eligible for?”

Pat,

Just a quick note of THANKS! for your great website. It gave me some great tips (WIMSEE and the Study Guide), and by reading the comments I got some good mnemonics (62 and 52 rhyme with “phew”, which has to do with air venting, and 52 and “filter” both start with “f”, etc.).

I tried the GBES on-line tests, and was freaking out the night before, as the highest I’d scored was 58%. They must skew low, tho, because yesterday I PASSED WITH 180!!

I have a general question about the credits

Are there going to be any questions involving how many credits are in each section and how many points are possible in each section?

Well I am about to take the test and I figured Id upload my study notes for others to use (50 megs of LEED compiled over the last 5 months).

Basically Ive done the following for each and every credit:

1. Created an outline which is more detailed than the summary pages in the Ref. book, but not AS detailed as the entire credit literature.

2. Created a comprehensive list of concepts and terminology and applied them to each credit.

3. Charts, images, and supporting documentation to clarify things.

4. Sample credit submittals

I really like this worksheet look, as it sticks all the pertinent info on a few pages.

I’ve done a blank run through once, and it helped point out my deficiencies in Materials & Resources section. (All those $%^&% percentages…)

And a few other random credits that usually are in the middle of the sections…quiet little ones that you wouldn’t normally notice.

I think this Blank guide is a great idea, I am preparing through this, I just wish to share one small thing that I am writing the credit & prerequisite’s shot form for memorization like FCOBES I.E. Fundamental commissioning of Building energy systems or SS I.E. Sustainable site or DD&CC I.E. Development Density & community connectivity, It’s helping me. It might help you as well, so thought of sharing.
